Description
Similar to Wedding Wire or The Knot, Premier Bride Magazine is a national platform for couples to browse wedding vendors. I created content for one of their regional chapters, Premier Bride Magazine: Central New York
Collaborating with my sales team, my goal was to create brand awareness, gain new clients, and drive more couples to the company's website. It was an enjoyable challenge to generate different strategies.
My Role
Magazine layout, writing, ad design, communicating with the printer, content creation, social media management.

A collection of my inspiration for a light-hearted meets editorial aesthetic. I drew inspiration from established publications such as Rocky Mountain Bride, Weddings in Houston and others.

The Magazine
While maintaining the structure and visual cues of previous publication, I elevated the look and feel of the new book by thickening the margins, dialing down the type size and creating stronger hierarchy with contrasting typefaces.
Wanting to add relevant content to the publication, I wrote and designed three Real Wedding articles. I e-interviewed a few local brides and compiled their wedding day details into two spreads apiece. Each article shares how the couple met, advice from the bride, her favorite moments, photography and a vendor list.
Hoping to drive readers to the website, I included a call-to-action bubble in the printed book encouraging  readers to view a more robust photo gallery on the blog. I also teased the Real Wedding stories on social media which clearly increased the website traffic.
Navigate through the following links to read my Real Wedding articles: Fairytale WeddingRustic Barn Wedding, and Summer Wedding.

I added the aqua bar to the edges of the interactive planner pages to help them stand out and be visible even when the book is closed.

Wedding Planning from Home
Due to the pandemic, we co-hosted a month-long, virtual bridal show. Collaborating with our partner, iHeartMedia in Syracuse, we offered free spots to local vendors in an effort to support the economically-impacted wedding industry. We invited brides to view the event for free. We also partnered with a venue and gave away a free wedding which helped increase traffic. In total, our show featured 120 vendors in the Central New York region, and we received over a hundred contest entries.

I designed a cohesive set of graphics to promote the show across our website and social media.

To promote the upcoming show, I created a blog article that encouraged potential viewers to plan their dream day from their sofa with this virtual event.

On Instagram, I shared various carousel posts encouraging brides to RSVP while highlighting local vendors.

Local Guide Campaign
Wanting to reach more business and increase brand awareness, I began curating "guides" on social media. Each post featured local vendors from a set category such as photographers, venues, salons or bakeries. I tagged multiple businesses and noticed increased engagement across Facebook and Instagram. These local guide posts received more saves, likes, comments, and shares and garnered more follows and website views.
